First Aid Training

We offer a wide range of courses including traditional courses such as First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid as well as specialist courses for CPD purposes, courses for those further from help and activity First Aid.

 

There are also short courses dedicated to families who wish to have more confidence in caring for those around them and a special course for designed specifically to teach children aged between 4 and 11.

Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)

 

This qualification is the most popular first aid qualification. This qualification helps employers to meet the minimum requirements for first aid in the workplace. The Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is ideal for those employers that need to meet the minimum requirement of first aid regulations; typically those working in shops, offices and other low risk environments.

Level 3 First Aid at Work (RQF)

 

This qualification is for those undertasking the role of a first aider in the workplace. The QNUK Level 3 Award in First aid at Work (RQF) has been developed in conjunction with other Awarding Organizations and supports employers to meet their requirements under the Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981, particularly in higher risk workplaces.

Level 3 Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF)

 

This qualification is aimed at those working in an early years setting who require a first aid qualification for emergency paediatric first aid.

 

The QNUK Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First aid (RQF) meets the requirements for those working in an early years setting, however, the setting should ensure that they also have suitable numbers of staff with a ‘2 day’ qualification such as the QNUK Level 3 Award in Paediatric First aid (RQF).

Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (RQF)

 

This qualification is intended for those working in early years settings that require a paediatric first aid qualification. This course meets the Early Year Foundation Stage and Department for Education requirements. The QNUK Level 3 Award in Paediatric First aid (RQF) is seen as the most common qualification for early years practitioners and is delivered over 2 days.

Level 3 Award in Responding to Anaphylactic Reactions (RQF)

 

This qualification is for those that require additional training in basic life support and management of anaphylaxis. Many attendees are those working in environments that support children that may be at risk of severe allergic reactions, for example those working in nurseries and other early years settings.

Level 3 Award in Responding to Incidents with an Automated External Defibrillator (RQF)

 

This qualification is for those that require additional training in CPR and choking as well as safe use of an AED. Many attendees are those working in environments that have an AED available, such as Gyms and public places such as shopping centres, transport hubs etc. The qualification can also be used by staff working in Doctors and Dentists practice as part of annual training.

Level 3 Award in Activity First Aid (RQF)

 

This qualification is for those requiring a first aid qualification to support their role as a sports coach or instructor. the qualification builds on the Emergency first aid at work qualification, to include more common injuries found in sporting activities

Level 3 Award in Outdoor First aid Emergency Action (RQF)

 

This qualification is for those undertaking the role of a first aider in an outdoors environment, for example at outdoor pursuits activity centres. The qualification is typically delivered over one day and covers common injuries and conditions that activity instructors may face.

Level 3 Award in Outdoor First aid (RQF)

 

This qualification is for those undertaking the role of a first aider in an outdoors environment where help may be up to 2 hours away. This may be at outdoor activity centres but is more likely to be away from urban areas. The qualification is typically delivered over two days and is recognised by a number of outdoor activity NGBs including BASI and the BCU.

Family First Aid

 

This course is for everyone who wants an introduction to first aid with children and babies. It covers CPR, choking, head injuries, burns, meningitis, febrile convulsions and bleeding. Any other topics can easily be catered for. This course can be delivered in your workplace for staff or in the home for small family groups.

Flat Stan First Aid for Children

 

Flat Stan is a program that is designed to be delivered to children as young a 4. It is a fun, interactive course which focuses on calling for help while following all of the basic protocals that first aiders use. The course is delivered in a fun, relaxed and practical way so that children not only learn but have a great time doing so. The topics covered include choking, introduction to CPR, bandaging, recovery position and many others. This course can be tailored to the group with regards to length of course and the course content.
